Tire/Wheel Assembly Uniformity Tester
The Tire/Wheel Assembly Uniformity Tester is designed to test the
characteristics of radial tires with speeds up to 200 KPH. The 36” diameter, 16” wide load roller and fixturing accommodates wheel
widths ranging from 7 to 15 inches and diameters from 14 to 24 inches.
Tire diameters ranging from 20 to 40 inches weighing up to 120 lbs.
can be tested with loads up to 4000 lbs. Test parameters are adjustable
through touch-screen control panel which allows the stand-alone system
to operate in automatic or semi-automatic modes with cycle times of 12
to 16 seconds. Options are available for additional test measurements
(center radial run out, bulge/valley grading, tilt, lateral run out) in
CW or CCW directions.
Tire Uniformity Tester
The Burke E. Porter Model 777 Wheel Radial Load Endurance Machine
(Wheel & Tire Tester) is designed to test vehicle wheels and/or
tires by subjecting them to precisely controlled radial loads while
rotating against the surface of a rotating roll.
The 42" roll width allows for two wheel loading stations with
fixtures for wheel rim sizes from 16 to 18 inches. The ball screw which
controls tire position is actuated by an air wrench and the pneumatic
wheel loading system will provide up to 6530 lbs of load at 3- psi at
the tire surface and maintain the radial load to within +/- 2% Full
Scale.Speed range will be from15 to150 Km/hr with speed controlled by
a variable frequency drive that can provide 0 to 150 Km/hr acceleration
in 45 seconds or less at roll surface.
