Burke E. Porter Machinery Company's  Roll / Brake Test Machines are custom designed combination four-wheel systems used to accurately test a vehicle's drive train components and braking performance. Designed for sub-surface, end-of-line installation, the machines allow vehicles to be driven into the test cell, dynamically tested and logged, and leave the test cell - all at production line rates. During testing, the test vehicle is held securely in place by the machine and can be driven up to 75 miles per hour for dynamic brake testing. The Roll/Brake Test Systems are programmed to compute forces as they appear at the surface of the inertia rolls, which simulate the road surface.
