The 4086 Motorcycle Chassis Dynamometer features a 500 mm diameter roll driven by an AC Vector electric motor/absorber that provides road load simulation using a solid state power supply controlled by digital logic. The Dyno consists of a Motor and Roller Assembly and an Air Speed Simulation / Cooling System. The motor/roll assembly contains a 500 mm diameter steel roll mounted in bearings on a welded structural steel frame. An AC motor/absorber mounted to this frame provides the power to the rollers during the speed modes of operation and acts in the regenerative mode (absorber) during the road load modes of operation. |
