Headlamp Aiming
Our Headlight Aim Systems are PC-based
headlight adjustment systems consisting of a Gantry Positioning
Device, Optical Block with CCD camera, and Control System and
Measuring Software.
The Gantry Positioning Device has been designed for reliability and
maintainability with the idea that "simple is better". This idea is
demonstrated in the use of standard AC motors as the drive
components to power the horizontal and vertical movement of the
positioning device. They are more reliable than servo or stepper
motors, more economical, and have equivalent functionality.
The Optical Block serves as the light beam collection device. It houses the
CCD camera and the industry's largest (200mm x 300mm) Fresnel, converging lens.
The larger lens allows the system to capture more of the headlight beam so that
the beam pattern can be evaluated more accurately and a greater range of
presets can be processed through the equipment.
