Full End of Line Test Machine

The industrial solution for a full end-of-line test in a low-volume production.

FELT VLV300 is an integrated solution for roll and brake test wheel-alignment headlight aiming and related ECU-tests. All functions are integrated in one test-surface and an operator interface with similar look and feel. All test/adjustment data are centrally reported. VLV300 is designed for low-volume production (from 6 cars/day up to 6 cars/hour) offering a high-quality test based on long-life industrial components.

    Performance of wheel-alignment section:

  • All measurements are non-contact and of high precision by 8 lasercam (Perceptron) sensors.
  • Accepts cars with different wheel-base by motorized wheel-base setting.



Performance of headlight-aimer section:

  • Manual movement of light-box on floor rails
  • Car is in aligned position by wheel-aligner.
  • Measures beam position and intensity.
  • Checks cut-off beams, low beams, high beams
  • Display shows how to adjust the headlight.
  • Connected to main pc for test-data report.





   Single-axle, two-motor dynamic vehicle roll test performance:

  • Drive-cycle composition per car-type
  • Low and high speed brake test and ABS test
  • Differential brake forces
  • Gear and engine power tests
  • Acceleration/speed and cruise control.







   FELT VLV300 mechanical configuration:

  • Wheel-alignment rig has motorized rollers on (4) floating plates with integrated centering and a pit for toe adjustments.
  • On each wheel 2 lasercams(8 total) type Perceptron.
  • Front and rear centering devices for proper alignment of the vehicle during test.
  • Automatic operation of centering devices.
  • Headlight aimer on floor rails, using centering of wheel-alignment

   Roll and brake :

  • Single-axle bed (width 700mm) with coated cradle rollers (dia500mm) interspaced 700mm with 2 AC motors (25Kw) and high performance control-drives for dynamic tests and accurate tracking of forces.

   FELT VLV300 Test cycle

The operator is guided thru the entire test-cycle by messages on the screen.

   Part 1:

  1. Wheel and headlight alignments
  2. Read barcode or ID from car.
  3. Adjust wheel-base if necessary.
  4. Drive car in the wheel-aligner, put SWB on steering wheel.
  5. The car is centered automatically.
  6. Headlight aiming can be started simultaneously.
  7. Run-out measurements start automatically.
  8. Toe-values on display and adjustments can be started.
  9. Confirmation of wheel and headlight aiming alignments OK.
  10. Remove SWB, centering goes off.
  11. Ready to move to roller-section

   Part 2:

  1. Roll and brake test
  2. OBD plug to be connected. (if ECU test needed)

   Two-sequence (front / rear) roller test:

  1. Drive car with front-wheels on rollers.
  2. The selected drive-cycle starts.
  3. Operator follows instructions on the screen.
  4. When front-test is finished, driver is requested to bring the car with rear wheels on the rollers and the rear drive-cycle is started until the test is completed.
  5. Car is ready to move out.
