ROLL COVERS
Roll covers are used to cover the exposed portion (outboard of the vehicle tires) of the rotating roller during vehicle operation, a function manually controlled using pushbuttons on the Drivers Pendant or Operator Interface Computer. Employed as an added pedestrian safety measure, these covers prevent a pedestrian from walking on the spinning rollers. Each roller cover assembly consists of a series of anodized aluminum segments that are connected to two strands of roller chain. The chains are driven by an AC gear motor, which moves each cover independently to the edge of the vehicle tire and then reverses to allow some running clearance between the tire and the roller cover. CALIBRATION SYSTEM
This system permits the user to dead weight the load cell torque measurement system using a balanced 120" long support arm and certified weights. A hinged floor plate section provides access to the motor attachment points. This type of mounting for the system allows the dead weighting to be completely accomplished from within the test cell without having to enter the pit area. CENTERING ROLLS
The optional wheel centering system consists of synchronized retractable rollers for positioning the vehicle's driven axle at the top of the roll, a function manually controlled using pushbuttons on the Drivers Pendant or Operator Interface Computer. The wheel centering system is driven by an AC motor through a bevel gear reducer. Worm gear screw jacks and coupled shafts are used to ensure synchronized motion of the centering rollers. End-of-travel limit switches are used to prevent inadvertent damage to the system by limiting travel in both directions. When activated, these centering rolls move up and straddle the tire, positively moving the vehicle as needed to center it on the rolls. With the vehicle held in this position, the operator can safely install the vehicle restraint system. Another feature of the vehicle centering system is its ability to completely lift the vehicle off the dynamometer roll. This is useful at the start of a new test or a personnel shift change to run a coastdown check of the dynamometer. Without this capability the vehicle must be physically removed from the dynamometer and then reinstalled which is time consuming. MODEL 5661 VEHICLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM
Our quick release system can reduce your setup times, especially for repeated use on common vehicle types. This system adapts easily to your configuration by simply changing t-slot nuts and adjusting the link details. Polyurethane powder coating finish protects against corrosion. Tire straps are rated at 10,000 lbs. Industrial grade ratcheting systems are self contained for longer life. MODEL 7900 4-POST RESTRAINT SYSTEM
Less than 50% of the weight of current models. Transport handle and rear mounted wheels. Nylon web system is easier on operators and greatly Nitriding and anodizing for long life and corrosion Extensive use of high tensile materials for an VARIABLE SPEED VEHICLE COOLING FAN
Base frame attached to large locking caster wheels. Allows +/- 15 degrees of axial rotation. 36” duct size. Custom transitional ducts to meet customer
