Customized Training

Burke Porter offers three levels of customized training for all of our product lines. Click on the menu items on the left to view course outlines.

Level 1
This training course is a one to three-day session for mixed audiences.

 Done at BEP or on the customer site.

*

 Includes copies of the completed machine manuals are the training materials.

*

 Covers machine overview, operation, mechanical maintenance, and electrical maintenance.

Level 2
This is a structured course for specific trades and usually involves three basic, standalone classes: Mechanical Maintenance - 4 to 8 hours
Electrical Maintenance - 8 to 12 hours
Control Operations - 8 hours

* Done in both the classroom and at the machine.
* Each class has a predefined outline.
* Custom training manuals to meet the specific needs of the groups being trained.
* Copies of the machine drawings and other documentation are used.
* Student guides, labs, and pre-and post-tests are also supplied.
* The maintenance courses are for mechanics (millwrights and pipefitters) and the electricians.
* Controls course covers the theory behind the test procedures for test engineers.


Level 3
This is a structured course designed to meet the customer's specific requirements.

* Training is conducted at BEP or the customer's site and may require special arrangements for facilities.
* Includes video and other visual aids such as interactive multimedia
* Custom made manuals in addition to the standard manual issued with the machines.
* The length of the courses and people to be trained are defined by the customer.
* We require that all training include some time on the machine itself.
* Significant lead time is needed for this kind of course and it would usually occur after machine shipment.
* Train the trainer courses are also available
