The Burke Porter RB 3601 is an electrically driven Cradle Roll/Brake Test Machine. Eight main rollers, configured in sets of two to cradle the vehicle wheels. The craddle-roll arrangement is ideal for low ground-clearance, high performance vehicles. During roll testing, the rollers turn freely, simulating the weight of a vehicle thus providing highly accurate road simulation. 
Each set of rollers is driven by an AC motor controlled by an AC flux vector drive to accurately speed-match the undriven wheels to the driven wheel(s). Extremely versatile, the RB 3601 can accomodate front, rear, all, and 4-wheel drive vehicles including those with ABS and traction control. |
